There are two main ways to update a document:
- Drag & Drop - Move the file over the browser window and then let go. The system will recognise if a document has the same file name and you are revising an existing file.
- Revise - Alternatively, you can click the drop down next to the document, and select Revise.
- This will allow you to browse your computer to locate the file. This is particularly useful if the file name in your WIP area doesn't match the file name of the version in BC.
- If you need to change the file name you can select "Use filename from device" and the latest version in the stack will now use the new file name and maintain the document stack
- You will then be taken to the Edit Type / Edit Metadata screen to complete any metadata associated with the file.
- To view the full document stack, go to the down arrow on the Filter button and select Show All Versions
- The previous version number will be shown in grey, with the latest version number shown in blue
- You could also click on the down arrow next to the file name and select Version Info
- Which will show you the full history
